Amanda Blake was an American actress that appeared in several movies and TV series. Her most famous role was portraying the character of Miss Kitty Russell in the TV film 'Gunsmoke'. Also, she was known for the roles she played in shows on television like The Red Skelton Show,' "Tattletales," as well as The Edge of Night. Additionally, she appeared in numerous other movies including Stars In My Crown, Duchess of Idaho,?Cattle Town,?Miss Robin Crusoe,?"About Mrs. Leslie",?The Adventures of Hajjibaba,??High Society? The Boost What?. Blake had been working as a telephone operator, loved animals. Together together with Frank Gilbert, she was the first who successfully raised cheetahs captivity. She was co-founding along with Frank Gilbert, her husband of the Arizona Animal Welfare League. The actress was also a committee member for the Humane Society of the United States. Talking about the honours Blake had received her induction into the Hall of Great Western Performers of National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum.
