
Pichai Sundararajan better known as Sundar Picha, is an Indian-American business executive. He is the chief executive officer (CEO) of Alphabet Inc.'s subsidiary Google. Born in Madurai, India.[4] Pichai graduated from IIT Kharagpur with a degree in metallurgical engineer. Moving to the United States, he attained an M.S. He was awarded a Masters degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Stanford University. He also earned an MBA from the Wharton School of Pennsylvania. After a brief stint with McKinsey and Co. as a management consultant, Pichai was employed by Google in 2004 to head the innovation and management of products for several of Google's client products. They included ChromeOS as well as ChromeOS. Additionally, he led Google Drive. Pichai also supervised the development of Google Maps, Gmail, and other apps. Pichai declared in 2010 that Google had made the open-source video codec VP8 and had also launched WebM as a brand-new video format. In 2012, the Chromebook was launched. In 2013 Pichai also added Android to the catalog of Google products he oversees.
